NYC Speaker Supper – Thursday 18th February

We have an exciting Speaker Supper lined up for Thursday 18th February at which Yvonne Gordon, former NYC member, will give a presentation on her recently launched book “ Journey of Change” in which she follows the all female crew who took part in the 2014/15 Volvo Round the World Race on board their boat Team SCA.

The dramatic stories of the crew, gathered by Yvonne during the race, combined with the engaging images of the onboard reporters Anna-Lena Elled and Corinna Halloran and the exceptional photography of yachting photographer Rick Tomlinson, who is also the book’s photo editor, make this an extraordinary book.

Yvonne will present the members of the National Yacht Club with a  signed copy of the book on the evening.

NYC Golfers to Marbella…correction

Hi to all the NYC Golfers

We are off again on our travels, this time to sunny Spain, giving Portugal a little rest after 2 very successful years.

We expect about 20-25 will travel, same as last 2 trips, but will particularly welcome new participants.

Given the proximity to the town and the beach, we expect a few non-golfers to come along too, but be sure to tell us if you are not golfing.

ICRA Annual Conference – Castleroy Hotel in Limerick – March 5th

The 2016 ICRA Annual Conference will be held in the Castleroy Hotel in Limerick on Saturday, March 5th from 10:30am until 15:30.

Liam Shanahan is Named Irish Sailor of the Year 2015

Our heart felt congratulations to NYC member Liam Shanahan (and all his family) for receiving the most prestigious accolade of “Irish Sailor of the Year 2015” following his nomination of Sailor of the Month last June online votes from his fellow sailors!
