F15 Class annual dinner sets new standard in entertainment!

Five Flying Fifteen couples danced the salsa, jive and cha cha cha for the Flying Fifteen Glitter Ball Trophy (yes, literally, that is all that was on offer for their troubles!)  last Friday night at the  Club.

Four judges voted Dun Laoghaire sailors Niall Meagher and Bernie Mulvin the winners but only after a dance– off.

The evening was a fantastic success…read the full post for more and a glimpse at the winning performance.

NYC Walking Group – Sunday 4th December

Meet NYC 1.45pm.

Please note – we leave punctually at 2pm.

This is a walk of a little over 2 hour’s duration; initially heading east to the Forty-foot and then through Dalkey Village, Bullock Harbour to the Steps up Dalkey Head from The Vico Road. Looping South around Killiney Hill Park and through the carpark to Dalkey Avenue. Then finally we travel back down The Metals arriving at The Club for tea before 4.30pm. (Tea/coffee and Scones for €4.)

Junior Awards 2016 – Update

Last Saturday evening the junior section gathered together for the annual dinner and prize giving which was a great success, with well over 150 attending. Cormac / Louise and their teams did a fantastic job running the event. As did the sailing instructors. See all the photos below. 

Christmas Junior Regatta RSGYC 3rd December

The RSGYC will be hosting its Christmas Regatta on Saturday the 3rd of December 2016 and would like to extend an invite to our Junior Sailors. In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, this will be moved to Sunday the 4th of December as an alternative day. There will be no late entry fee charged if sailors are signed up by this weekend 26/27 November.
