Success for NYC Optimist Sailors at Irish Optimist Team Trials

Seven NYC sailor have earned their place on the Irish Optimist Team and Squad 2013 following completion of the annual Irish Optimist Team Selection at RCYC on Monday.

Calling our youngest sailors – National Nippers are starting again!

National Nippers are our youngest sailing group in the NYC for ages 6+. This introductory course runs over the course of five fun-filled Wednesday evenings starting on Wednesday 22nd May. Boats will be supplied.

Optimist Coaching (Non OPG Sailors)

We will be holding Optimist Coaching in preparation for Ulsters and upcoming events on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Topper Traveller Event Re-scheduled for 19th May

The first Topper event of the year is coming up on Sunday 19th May, conveniently in the National!
This is a one day Topper Traveller which consists of 3 races back to back.

Attention All Optimist Starters

Coaching is available for five Friday evenings in May for level 1 Optimist sailors. Coaching runs from 17:30 – 19:30 with the aim of teaching our novice Opi sailors to sail a triangular course and possibly advance to Friday evening racing later in the summer.
