Topper Charter
There are 2 categories of Topper available for charter;
1) New Toppers for charter through Viking Marine, our local Topper agent. These are brand-new. Charter price €425 without sail, €525 with sail. Price will include boat, trolley, cover, spar and foil bag. All top of the range Harken spec and with stainless steel gudgeon plate fitted. Please contact Ian O’Meara at Viking Marine, ian@vikingmarine.ie, Ph:+353-1-2806654.
2) Used National Yacht Club boats. The NYC Club boats are older, and will be provided with spars and foils, and will charter for 150 euro (ex sail). The competitor will provide their own sail. If buying a new sail, this could possibly be sold afterwards on the Topper website or elsewhere if the sailor is not continuing with Topper sailing. If one wanted a good second hand sail, it is possible to put an ad in the “WANTED” section of the Topper website (contact our webmaster
gjkane@yahoo.com if you wish to place an ad). Expressions of interest for charter to
mgtodnl@gmail.com.
If you are chartering and have not already entered, you can do so using the sail number 0000, and advise the sail number at registration, or when the boat/sail number has been allocated to you, or via sailracer. You will also require a championship number to make your entry. If based in Ireland, this can be obtained by emailing
peterdolan@comans.ie and giving the sailors details and sail number “0000 charter – number to be confirmed”. If from outside Ireland, please check with your national Topper association to obtain a national championship number.
Volunteers
As we are expecting a record number of sailors, volunteers may be required to assist on and off the water. If you would like to register your interest in volunteering, please complete the Volunteer Form and tick the relevant category(s). You will be contacted closer to the event, when volunteer roles will be allocated.
RIB Registration
All RIBs must register prior to the Event. If you are registering a sailor, you will have the opportunity of registering a RIB as part of the on-line entry process at Sovereign Ski Topper Worlds 2011 On-line Entry. If you wish to register a RIB separately, or if you wish to register your interest in volunteering in another capacity, please complete the Volunteer Form.
RIBs will be identified by flags, as either Safety/Rescue, or Support/Spectator. Please come to the RIB Registration Desk on Sunday 14 August, to receive your RIB flag, which must be flown at all times while in the Race Area.
