Junior Regatta 2015 – Report

A beautiful sunny morning on July 1st herald the start of the NYC 2015 Junior Regatta. In total there were 128 junior sailors entered in the event with participants travelling from as far away as Cork. After a short postponement sailing got going in light and shifty wind. The two race officers Larry Power and Alan Dooley did a great job at moving the course through the day to accommodate the huge shifts.  Read the article for the full report

Boathouse completes its RIBs revamp programme

The N.Y.C. boathouse has recently completed its RIBs refurbishment programme when it took back delivery of the Gemini 5.2m (NYC 6) and the donated Caribe 6.0m (NYC 9)

Gorman & Doorly Win Flying Fifteen Northern Championships

The Flying Fifteen Northern Championships hosted by Strangford Lough YC in Whiterock took place in perfect conditions at the weekend and was won by Dave Gorman & Chris Doorly (NYC) who sailed a very consistent series, Ian Mathews & Keith Poole (NYC) were in second place with Roger Chamberlain & Simon Murray from the local club in third place. There was also a great performance from Lee Statham & Andy Paul (WHSC) who finished fourth in their first event.
