A DUN LAOGHAIRE CAPRICCIO

Fergal McCabe kindly offered to donate his fine watercolour, “A Dun Laoghaire Cappricio”, to the National Yacht Club.

We were delighted to accept the painting, as it not only depicts the National Yacht Club, but also as it has several other links to the club via the Dublin Bay 21’s as well as “Setanta”. Fergal has provided a very useful note, which provides some fascinating details of the painting and its inspiration.

Please see below the opening times for the Club over the Christmas period. Please be reminded that we still have availability for lunch on New Years Eve

 

December 24th  –  Close at 6pm
December 25th, 26th 27th –  Closed.
December 28th   -Bar open from 5pm 
December 29th   and 30th – Bar and Catering open as normal
December 31st   – New Years Eve Lunch   – Bookings available

January 1st – Closed

Tom Dolan Reflects On His Return to Ireland With Smurfit Kappa-Kingspan

Ireland’s leading active solo offshore racer Tom Dolan has returned to his sailing base in Concarneau, France after a successful visit to his native country with his Beneteau Figaro 3 Smurfit Kappa-Kingspan.

Finally able to return to Dublin Bay and take dozens of guests sailing over the last month in conditions which were ideal. Among the groups he took out on Smurfit Kappa-Kingspan were invitees from the two principal sponsors and long time supporters Dubarry as well as young offshore sailors from all around Dublin Bay.
Among the most enjoyable trips was returning to the dock at the National YC with Sailing Into Wellness guests wearing big smiles.

Tom, a member of the National Yacht Club, extends his thanks to Commodore Conor O’Regan of the National YC for their hospitality and berthing.

Support Women on the Water in NYC!!

Dear Club members,

We wanted to share with you that we now have WOW (women on the water) stickers available for you to purchase from the office, €3 for 1 sticker or 4 stickers for €10.  These can be put on boats, cars, trailers etc.

Proceeds will go towards supporting WOW sailing equipment.
