A Happy Easter for NYC Sailors in Laser Munsters in Baltimore

 Sunny weather and light winds greeted all 12 NYC sailors in Baltimore for the 2015 Munster Championships. The traditional opening laser event of the season at Easter in Baltimore was held in glorious weather and over 100 sailors in 3 fleets.

5 Optimist sailors from the NYC get onto Irish Teams

11 sailors from the NYC travelled down to Crosshaven to compete in the Optimist Trails 2015. Our team of sailors, together with the George sailors with whom they trained with all winter, arrived early on the Wednesday for a practice sail. The racing commenced on Thursday and 13 long races were completed over the four days.  Winds varied over the course of the competition from light and shifty to windy and still shifty.

Transition Year Sailing – Block 5 ( April / May )

This will be the final block of Wednesday afternoon sailing for the TY group.

We plan to return to the 1720s with 6 afternoon sessions, starting on Wed 15th April and finishing on Wed 20th May – the cost for the block is Euro 70.

National Powerboat Certificate for T.Y. Students

 

The N.Y.C. is running a National Powerboat Certificate Course for strudents registered in our Transition Year Programme on Saturday and Sunday 9th and 10th May.

Application forms now available for Summer Courses 2015

We are running five different courses this summer, from 2nd June until Aug 7th.  It promises to be a busy and exciting summer at the club.  Be sure to print off the application forms, complete them asap and drop them together with payments back into the office over the coming weeks.
