Gorman/Doorly pipped at Flying Fifteen Nationals in Stangford Lough

The National Yacht Clubs Dave Gorman & Chris Doorly were extremely unlucky not to come away with the Flying Fifteen Championship of Ireland Trophy at the weekend after some thrilling racing in a variety of conditions

Charity Pursuit Race in aid of the Jack Kavanagh Trust

On Friday August 29th at 18:30 the Royal St. George Yacht Club will host a very special “pursuit” race in aid of the Jack Kavanagh Trust.

Members are invited to support this initiative by taking part in the event and encouraging family, friends, relations and colleagues to experience the thrill of yacht racing in a once-off pursuit race.

Deadly jellyfish spotted in Dun Laoghaire Harbour!

Dun Laoghaire Harbour Master Simon Coate informs us that a considerable number of Lions Mane jellyfish have been sighted within the harbour!
The Lion’s Mane jellyfish, which can cause anaphylactic shock and death, forced warning notices on beaches on the southside of the city last week that are still in place. – more info here

N.Y.C. End of Season Fun Members’ Race – Thursday 4th September

All members, family and friends are welcome to take part in our End of Season members’ Race taking place on Thursday 4th September from 1830.  This is a fun race and we hope to see you all, from dinghies (inc. Moth!) to Flying Fifteens to SB20s and all keelboat classes including non-racers!!
