The 2017 ICRA Annual Conference will be held in the Castletroy Hotel in Limerick on Saturday, March 4th from 10:30am onwards.
Under the heading “We Must Talk about Cruiser Racing”, this year’s conference promises to be an exciting discussion on the hot topics surrounding the world of Cruiser Racing in Ireland today. The format of the discussion will be an open floor Q&A session chaired by Denis Kiely. Read more
Alan Green and Charles Apthorp of the National Yacht Club head for the Flying Fifteen Worlds in New Zealand on Thursday – Summer racing in the South Pacific. Alan and Charles team up for many events and Charles who’s regular sailing is from Hayling Island is an overseas member of the NYC and frequent visitor.
The worlds will take place on the North Island hosted by Napier Sailing Club, some of who’s fleet competed in the worlds in 2003 hosted in Dun Laoghaire.

The National Yacht Club is delighted to announce the Volvo Dun Laoghaire to Dingle Race 2017, which will start on Wednesday 14th June!

13 spirited ladies took part in the racing series in an ever growing class of sportboats and brought many admiring glances from the rest of the competitors…for lots of obvious reasons!
Lead on and off the water by ‘Captain Lady Fiona’ who also organises the Pilates classes (and enrolls her crew by gentle force to make sure they develop their ‘core’ for hiking out!) our WOW Team (Women On the Water) is going from strength to strength and wishes to welcome all willing NYC ladies, whatever their sailing ability, to join them for fun on the race course as well as ashore!
