NYC Choir – ‘The High C’s’

A number of members have expressed an interest in participating in the formation of a mixed Choir in the NYC, a Choir Director/Conductor has been identified.

If there is sufficient interest  it is hoped to commence in the next few weeks with a view to performing during the forthcoming sailing season.

Clare Gorman Sparkles in the Snow at Braassemermeer

Ten Irish Optimist sailors including six from the NYC (Heather Spain, Dara Donnelly, Hugh Perette, Patrick Coyle, Cliona Coyle and Clare Gorman) travelled to Braassemermeer in Holland for the Magic Marine Easter regatta.

Record Breaking Optimist Sailing at Lake Garda

NYC Optimist sailor Loghlen Rickard joined 1054 others, including 6 Irish, in the 2013 Lake Garda Meeting in Italy this Easter weekend. It was classified as being one of the largest single-class regattas in the world and a Guinness World Record was broken.

NYC sailors sweep the boards at Laser Munsters Prizegiving

Success at Baltimore over the Easter weekend saw Philip Doran win the Standard Fleet in style, with a two race win, while Annalise Murphy won two races in the Radials. Finn Lynch, who came in second with great speed,  gave Annalise a good racing challenge and Sarah Cooney was best of the NYC 4.7s.

Two members meeting in Oman

While in Oman last month at the Extreme Sailing Act 1 in Muscat, Suzi Roy meet up with fellow NYC member Chris Doorley who is working in the region and visited the exciting sailing for a few days.

NYC Sailing Awards Winners
