With 4 Club regattas, including of course our own NYC mid-summer’s Regatta on Saturday 18th June, the ICRA Nationals at the door step and regular DBSC racing, members yacht racing calendars look pretty full!
On top of this, the NYC will host many regional and nationals events this summer from Lasers to SB20s to 1720s to Flying Fifteens and Fireball etc…

The Windy Winter is over, time to get sailing fit for those lovely warm summer months of messing about in boats ahead in 2016!
Starting on Sunday the weather promises to be calm and sunny so if you haven’t registered for Spring coaching now is your chance to register for the next 4 Sundays. NYC has just taken delivery of nine new Kayaks which will be launched for the first time on Sunday so parents bring your wet or dry suits and try them out with the juniors! Hot chocolate will be served to anyone sailing or kayaking.
The Iodai Baltimore training week took place during the mid term week with 14 families from the NYC attending.
Out of over 138 sailors aged between 7 and 14 were there eighteen sailors were from the NYC. The NYC group was one of the largest participating with sailors in all fleets.
The sailors had 4 and a half days of sailing with mixed conditions and great racing. International and Irish coaches provided a full range of training, from first time Regatta fleet level through to Transition and to Main Fleets both Junior and Senior with a Regatta on the last day.

Meeting @ NYC – 10.15am
Some fifteen of us met in the Club last Patrick’s day and walked into town to Charlotte Quay where we stopped for lunch.
I propose we repeat the outing this year and meet in the Club for coffee at 10.15 for a prompt 11am start.
I think last year’s charity was the RNLI, and whilst we did not formally register, we took up our own private collection which Kevin passed on to them. I suggest we operate the same informal arrangement this year and not register.
