Optimist Main Group Coaching

The NYC is scheduling Optimist coaching sessions for Main Fleet optimist sailors who wish to participate in the optimists regional events (Leinsters, Connaughts etc etc)

The dates of the coaching are as follows and the coaching is being led by David White: 22nd May, 29th May, 5th June, 19th June, 26th June. The cost is €150. Read the full post for additional info and registration.

Irish Laser Masters at the National Yacht Club – 21st & 22nd May

The National Yacht Club is delighted to host the 2016 Irish Laser Masters on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May.

HELP NEEDED! – Friday Night Junior Summer Racing Series – NYC

Dear parents.

Friday night racing starts this Friday 29th April.  Please enter if your child would like to take part.

Help is needed each Friday from parents both on the water and on land. We have 2 slots in ribs for rescue and 2 slots for slip duty, that need to be filled for this Friday.

NYC Sailors Top the Fleet at the Ulster Laser Championships

The weather was unseasonably cold and windy at the Laser Ulster Championships in Country Antrim Yacht Club, Whitehead this weekend but NYC sailors enjoyed the challenge and posted results at or close to the top of all of the fleets.

National Powerboat Certificate Course in May

The N.Y.C. is running a National Powerboat Certificate Course starting Wednesday 11th May.

1720 Racing Youth Squad

The National Yacht Club is entering one of its 1720s in the DBSC Mixed Sportboat Class series as a development path from dinghy to keelboat racing for our young talents.

This is a fun race and the emphasis is on participation and having a good time! Places are limited to 5 crew (the skipper is appointed by the Club for each race) on a first come first served basis so book fast…
