Congratulations to Charles Apthorp & Alan Green of NYC for their fantastic 4th place overall at the the Lexus of Hawke’s Bay 21st Flying Fifteen World Champs at Napier, New Zealand.
Charles and Alan narrowly missed the podium, only 3 points behind third place after 7 races.

Our venerable mast proved to be quite sick, that is to say rotten!
In order to create extra room on the platform for the winter season and also in order to give it a fresh lick of varnish, the Club’s flagpole was dismantled just before lift-out and brought to the boathouse for works this winter.
When stripped off its old varnish, we discovered that rot had taken hold of about 3.5m from the top of the mast down. What was thought to be surface surface rot turned out to be much deeper and spread and radical remedial action was needed. Read more
The 2017 ICRA Annual Conference will be held in the Castletroy Hotel in Limerick on Saturday, March 4th from 10:30am onwards.
Under the heading “We Must Talk about Cruiser Racing”, this year’s conference promises to be an exciting discussion on the hot topics surrounding the world of Cruiser Racing in Ireland today. The format of the discussion will be an open floor Q&A session chaired by Denis Kiely. Read more
We are commencing spring laser coaching on the 18/2/2017.
The coaching will be available to laser 4.7 and radial sailors from all three Dun Laoghaire yacht clubs.
The programme will be overseen by Ben Lynch with on the water coaching from Ben and coaches from the clubs. The programme will include two and three day weekend clinics during February, March and April.
