Pre-instructor / Pre-assessment Course 2017

The NYC is  running a  Pre –entry assessment on Saturday  26th August . Prior to this there will be three days training on 23/24/25/ August .

Annalise Murphy in crew trials for Volvo Ocean Race Campaign

With the next Olympic Games in Japan still three years away, Annalise is being trialled as a crew-member in the forthcoming Volvo Ocean Race around the world that starts from Alicante in October.

Annalise has been sailing with British veteran yachtswoman Dee Caffari’s ‘Turn the Tide On Plastic’ team that is expected to be announced later this month following completion of crew trials.

Assuming Annalise successfully emerges from the trials, the round the world race ends at the end of June next year when she would then be released to concentrate on preparations for Tokyo 2020.

Irish Ruffian 23 National Championships – 18th to 20th August 2017

The National Yacht Club is delighted to host the Irish Ruffian 23 National Championships 2017.

Junior Summer Courses

Where has the summer gone?  We can’t believe how time has flown by as we get ready to enter our final junior summer course.  Each course has been jam-packed with fun and excitement, and plenty of new friendships made.

Optimist Main Fleet Group (OMG) Summer Training Programme

The programme is open to OMG Junior and Senior main fleet sailors who intend to participate in the Optimist regional events and the Nationals.
The training will be provided by both “8 Days a Week” (www.8daysaweek.be) and local coaches.
The programme started in May and runs through to August leading up to the Nationals and is split into two parts:
