NYC Junior Sailing Celebrates its 50 years in style

Almost 150 supporters of sailing in the National Yacht Club got together on Saturday 30th September to mark the 50th Jubilee anniversary of NYC Junior section. Open to over 18s who have been involved in NYC’s junior section over the years as sailors, parents, friends and instructors, the evening reunited three generations to celebrate junior sailing at NYC. The evening was also an opportunity to raise funds for a fleet of Fireflies that will benefit NYC’s current young and upcoming sailors.

Drushambo Gunpowder Gin Irish Moth National Championships – Results & Visuals

The largest ever gathering of ‘foiling machines’ in Ireland took place at the National Yacht Club hosting the Drushambo Gunpowder Gin 2017 Moth & Waszp Class Irish Championships from September 28th to October 1st. The Moths were accompanied for the first time by the first ever Irish gathering of 6 new Waszp One Design boats. “Two  Dublin Bay Sailing Club Volunteers with Tina Connell Blackrock Fund  Raiser at the presentation of the  money collected on the last DBSC Thursday night.   Many thanks again to all concerned for the fabulous amount of €2500.00 collected on the night.”

Topper Winter 2017 Coaching Programme

The NYC has an exciting Topper Winter 2017 Coaching Programme organised in 3 modules (1 module of 4 week-end ‘Clinic’ and 2 complementary modules of Club training)

As last year, we are delighted to have Olivier Spensley-Corfiled back as lead coach on the Topper Clinics and Nicole Hemerick as Head Coach for the NYC Training modules.
