Baltimore 2018 Update

Baltimore Training Week 2018   The IODAI Baltimore training week took place during the mid-term week with 13 families from the NYC attending. Out of over 100 sailors aged between 7 and 14 there were twenty sailors from the NYC. The NYC group was the largest participating club with sailors in all fleets. The sailors had 5 days of sailing with mixed conditions at times very windy with the Thursday session being cancelled and the Regatta on Friday being reduced to one race.

During the week the children also attended a lecture on the rules given by Gordon Davies an International ISAF Judge.

NYC “Ensigns Open Forum” Evening Thursday 22nd February 2018

The Ensign category of National Yacht Club is a very important one – as it is the future of the club.
We would like to hear from existing Ensign Members on what we can change to improve the situation.

The format will be a sit-down discussion 8pm – 9.15pm followed by Pizza and Drinks, hosted by the Committee.

It will be an opportunity to meet fellow ensigns socially and discuss items to make for better sailing and more fun in 2018 and beyond.
