NYC & RSGYC to Host the Volvo Irish Sailing Youth Pathway National Championships 2018

The 2018 Volvo Irish Sailing Youth Pathway National Championships will take place from the 5th–8th of April in Dun Laoghaire and will be jointly hosted by the Royal St George Yacht Club and the National Yacht Club.

We are looking for volunteers!!! If you think you can help out ashore or afloat in anyway, please do not hesitate to fill up this form

A Taste of Galicia – Saturday 24th March

Dinner with a flavour of Galicia, plus a short video on the great coast.

The Volvo Gill Optimist Spring Championships

Optimist Events : The Volvo Gill Optimist Spring Championships took place recently in the UK hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club.  There were 175 sailors in total split into two flights.

Please make sure to return them together with the appropriate payment (including launch fee) by April 4th. Lift-in will take place on Saturday 14th April 2018

Winter Topper Championships

A huge congratulations to all our sailors who partook in the Winter Topper Championships in Killyleagh Yacht Club up North under testing conditions. All the hard work over the winter has paid off with NYC sailors taking the top slots. Natasha Hemeryck came in first overall as well scooping up the 1st Lady Prize and Hugh O’Connor coming in 2nd overall. Caoimhe Seymour came in 3rd in the 4.2 series. Many congratulations to them all.  

Congratulations also to Christian Houlahan (A regular  Participant at the Topper Clinics at the NYC) who came first in the 4.2 series and to Conn Murphy and Finn Cleary (All regular Participants at the Topper Clinics at the NYC) who also competed.  

Join the NYC New Cycling Group

NYC Member Chris Craig is arranging a Cycling Group for both Men and Women catering to all levels of fitness and ability – from beginners to elite riders.  NYC Leisure Cycle is a members based social meetup bringing together a group of people, young or not so young, interested in cycling, and a coffee meetup. 

The First Cycle leaves the old Ferry Terminal in Dun Laoghaire at 09.30am Sunday 11th March for the Dog House Café in Howth, to try the new cycle way in Clontarf.
