NYC ‘Get Involved’ Sailwave Results Software Course – Saturday 16th April

Due to popular demand!

Following the ‘get involved’ information evening last week, we are delighted to stage a Sailwave Results Software course on Saturday 16th April (morning or afternoon session) for all our future events volunteers!

Being involved on the results side of our events is a great way to be part of the action without ever getting wet or seasick!

Dara Totterdell, member of the Irish Sailing Results steering group and ‘Sailwave Guru’ will be heading the sessions…

NYC ‘Get involved’ Mark Laying Course – Saturday 16th April

Following the ‘get involved’ information evening last week, we are delighted to stage a mark laying course on Saturday 16th April for all our future events volunteers (well max 7 candidates on a first come first served basis!!!)

Dublin Bay Sailing Club Highlights New Initiatives for the 2022 Season

With just weeks to go to the start of summer racing at the country’s largest yacht racing club, Dublin Bay Sailing Club (DBSC) has unveiled some of its plans for the 2022 AIB DBSC racing programme, which will run from April 23 to October 1 and will include new Saturday courses.

The DBSC Flag Officers, Committee, and Racing Sub-Committee, have been working hard over the winter months on producing the enhanced racing programme.

VHF

VHF Courses in April in the NYC

Due to popular demand, we are organising 2 VHF Courses at a special discounted rate to our members with Irish Offshore Sailing.

The details are as follows:

Course 1:

2-night VHF course on 12/13th April 1800-2130hrs with exam on evening of 13th at 20.30.

Course 2:

on April 23rd 0930-1800hrs

Course Provider: Ronan O Siochru/ Irish Offshore Sailing. Max: 12 participants per course

Costs:

Costs: €200 for NYC members

Ronan will be running a RYA VHF course for €200 which includes exam fee. Should anyone require MMSI sign off, Ronan will sort this out free of charge. For all other purposes, the RYA cert is valid.
