ISA Safeguarding 1 – Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Courses (additional date open!)

The NYC is hosting an “ISA Safeguarding 1” Course on Wednesday 21st AND Thursday 22nd September from 18.30 to 21.30 in the JB Room.

The ISA is committed to ensuring the well-being and safety of anyone taking part in activities run by us or any of our affiliated organisations. We recognise that we all hold a particular responsibility towards those children and vulnerable adults who choose to participate in our sports and activities.

We recommend any of our volunteers involved with children to follow this course in advance of expected legislation. Book your place here

Transition Year Programme 2016 / 2017 – Block 1 Registration now open

Once again we are planning a joint TY programme with RSGYC.  The Programme will include a trip to Heir Island, Laser/feva coaching on Wednesday afternoons, rib and first aid courses etc…

 

 

Coach support for Munsters for Opi main fleet sailors

The NYC is providing coaching support for our main fleet optimists taking part in the Munsters at the RCYC on the 10th/11th September next at cost of €40 per child. 420 Open Training Session – Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th September

The National Yacht Club will host the next 420 Open Training session on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September. Ross Killian will be the lead coach.. More info and online registration here

Update from September Series

It was amazing to see 135 junior sailors in the National Yacht Club for the the September Series, It is great to see the club so alive with our young sailors. We need lots of volunteers to help launch and recover all these boats so we invite all parents to come and help out over the next few weeks. Results can be found here http://www.dbsc.org/index.php/results

The four week series will finish on September 18th with prize giving in The National Yacht.

We will also host the End of Season Regatta on Sept 25th before we say goodbye to Summer Sailing!

Calling all Juniors

Calling all juniors: If you are not already involved in part of the ceremony for Annalise Murphy tomorrow we would love to see you at the East Pier Bandstand at 5.45pm to welcome Annalise and walk with her in a parade to the People’s Park for the celebrations.

Please arrive early as parking is very limited in the area.
