Alan Green, crewing with Charles Apthorp, placed third overall at the European Championship which was held this year in Fraglia vela Riva on Lake Garda.
The MOD70 European Tour called to Dun Laoghaire and treated the thousands that lined the pier with a most amazing spectacle.

Thousands of people watched the start of the 2nd leg of the MOD 70 European Tour from the East Pier on Sunday 9th September after a spectacular and very successful series of City Races on the previous two days.
The fleet of MOD70 trimarans arrived in Dun Laoghaire in the early hours of this morning. Just 77 seconds separated the first 3 boats but Foncia skipperered by sailing legend ‘Le Prof’ Michel Desjoyeaux took the gun.
A great festival is planned.
Theory courses for ISA Yachtmaster Coastal and ISA Yachtmaster Offshore will be held in the National Yacht Club during the coming winter months
