NYC Juniors shine at Crosbie Cup

Five NYC juniors took part in the 2014 Crosbie Cup which was hosted by Malahide Yacht Club over the weekend of 19/20 July

NYC junior representing Ireland at Optimist European Championships

Best of luck to the Irish European Optimist Team, which includes NYC junior sailors Clare Gorman, Loghlen Rickard and Dara Donnelly.

Optimist Ulster 2014

The Optimist Ulster’s took place last weekend in Skerries. 19 young sailors from the National Yacht club took place in this weekend event. Loghlen Rickard, Clare Gorman, Ella Hemeryck, Nicola Ferguson, Dara Donnelly, Cliona Coyle and Cillian Madigan raced in the Senior Main Fleet. Charlie Cullen, Luke Rickard, Leah Rickard, Natasha Hemeryck, Conor Gorman, Jack Hall, Fiona Ferguson, Hugh O’Connor and Charlie McCarthy raced in the Junior Main Fleet, and Zoe Hall, Georgie McCarthy and Billy McCarthy sailed in the Regatta fleet.

NYC Feva take first in RIYC Regatta

Congratulation to Lorcan Tighe and Cian Murphy who came first sailing an RS Feva in this years RIYC Regatta which was held on Saturday 24 May.

The Connacht Optimist Championships were held in Galway Bay Sailing Club last weekend. 14 young sailors from the NYC travelled with their families to the event.

Optimist Trial 2014

The 2014 Optimist trials took place over two consecutive weekends. The first leg took place in Howth Yacht club and the second in the Royal St George Yacht Club.
