Congratulations  to Patrick Hassett our new cadet member who was selected to attend  the Paralympic Development Program Performance clinic in Gdansk Poland  along with Gina Chapman from Cork .( see both  members of the Irish team  in their green shirts .)Patrick has only recently started sailing the 2.4mR boat  earlier this year   and  won the inaugural  2.4mR Nationals at the end of June  in Dublin before travelling to Poland . Following the Performance  Clinic the Irish Pair competed in the European Parasailing championships in Gydnia, Poland . Conditions were extremely challenging and both performed  extremely well with Gina getting 2^nd overall. Patrick returns this week and immediately travels to Carrickferrgus for a National Training Clinic given by Meagan Pascoe the former World champion . A busy but extremely productive summer for our new 2.4mR sailor !
