3 NYC Optimist sailors win places on the European Team 2016
The Optimist Trials took place in Howth from 31st March until 3rd April.
Conor Gorman, Fiona Ferguson and Leah Rickard won places on the European Team that will travel to Italy in July 2016!!
9 NYC sailors qualified for the Optimist Trials 2016 – Conor Gorman, Fiona Ferguson, Leah Rickard, Charlie Cullen, Natasha Hemeryck, Hugh O’Connor, Sam Crawford, Eoghan Turner, and Nathan Van Steenberge.
It was a very tough event with light and shifty weather on the first day to wet and windy weather on the last day.
11 races were completed and all of our sailors sailed really well. They were a credit to both our club and their families. Well done everyone.
