TY Update- Powerboat Course in the Sun!
Last weekend our TY sailors completed their National Powerboat Cert in NYC and are now looking forward to spending time on the water over the summer helping at events.
This year we have combined the TY programme between the NYC and RSGYC to allow us to offer a wider range of activities. They have worked on their Laser and two handed sailing skills on Wednesday afternoons and also completed a VHF course. Some sailors travelled to the International Indian Regatta and others toured Europe with the B-cademy run by Thomas Chaix.
They all travelled to the Laser Munsters as a group, renting a house with their coach and learning the life skills of cooking etc! They are presently doing a basic navigation course and are hoping to put this into practice doing an offshore sail.
