Next Golf Outing

FacebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmailNational Yacht Club Golf Society Next Outing – St Anne’s Golf Club Friday 15th October – tee time 9.30am to 11am Last year we played St Anne’s for the first time and what an experience it was.  A beautiful links course set in the dunes of Bull Island in Dublin Bay, with fabulous sea views all round – very appropriate for a bunch of sailors!  Bull Island is a nature reserve and we were lucky last year to witness part of the annual arrival of Brent geese from Greenland – what a sight. The course itself represents a good challenge, but you can score if you are hitting straight.  The members and staff made us very welcome to and in our annual survey the Club got the highest score of all the courses played in 2009. Entries are now invited to this event, which is restricted to the first 36.  You can enter by Agenda for the Day Golf in the morning, followed by prizegiving at the Club at 8pm.  Individual and team competitions, longest drive and nearest pin to.  All golfers are expected to attend the prizegiving dinner, please note that only those in attendance will qualify for prizes. St Anne’s is our second-last event of 2010, our last event will be a small outing (turkey competition) to Greystones Golf Club on the 12th November. Alan Dooley
