The Club has taken delivery of 3 new RS Venture sailing boats on a bright, brisk, still Thursday morning.

Annalise’s Moth advanced hiking technic (warm water only)

Annalise Murphy took part in the 2015 Moth World Championships in Sorrento (Australia) last week and finished in a very credible 56th place in the Gold Fleet (79 competitors) out of an amazing 155 entries overall!

Irish Sailing’s New Strategic Plan Charts 2020 Course

Nearly 2 years after a push for reforming the ISA at a meeting held in the National Yacht Club in April 2013, where over 300 suggestions for change were made, a new draft five year strategic plan has been published.

A meeting to discuss the draft plan will be held on Wednesday 21st January (7pm-9pm) in the Royal St George Yacht Club.

NYC Members Paul & Audrey complete 2 year Circumnavigation

 

Paul and Audrey Adamson were headhunted by ex Formula One Team boss, Eddie Jordan, to work as Captain and First Mate on his superyacht, Oyster 885’ LUSH and sail her around the world from November 2012 to September 2014!

Paul and Audrey will be speaking about their circumnavigation in the club at some stage over the next few months (Date TBC); in the meantime, Audrey has sent us this amazing article…

NYC boathouse revamps its RIBs

The boathouse has started a programme of refit of some of its existing RIBs which, after many years of hard use, are showing their age.

The first RIB has just been completed and returned to the Club with new tubes and a sympathetic freshening up of its looks.
