Anyone who has a charter will have to remove them by the 16th August to make room for the start of the Laser nationals.

Protect Sailing in Dún Laoghaire Harbour for you and for future generations. Now is your opportunity to lodge your submission on the Dún Laoghaire Harbour Company application to An Bord Pleanála for a €21m Large Cruise Ship Berth in the middle of the harbour.
Use your submission to clearly explain to An Bord Pleanála how you use the harbour now and how this will be affected by the commercial development of a Large Cruise Ship Berth which should best be sited in Dublin Port.

Dun Laoghaire Regatta has come to a close

Ireland’s biggest sailing event, the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta, has come to a close  after an exciting four days of racing in Dublin Bay with over 400 boats and almost 3,000 sailors competing.

The Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta is Ireland’s biggest sailing event and takes place for the next three days until Sunday 12th July with over 400 boats and 3,000 competitors taking part.

Liam Shanahan is Afloat’s Sailor of the Month for June

The comprehensive overall victory in the 280-mile Dun Laoghaire to Dingle Race by Liam Shanahan in his family’s J/109 Ruth was the highlight of a busy month of Irish sailing in June, with Ruth emerging as winner in the last fifty miles of racing after a head-to-head all round the course on three coasts of Ireland with sister-ship Mojito.
