On 1st May there will be a concert to raise funds for the R.N.L.I., taking place at the National Concert Hall at 3pm.

Wexford Sinfonia will be performing HEROES of the HELEN BLAKE in a programme which also includes Sibelius FINLANDIA and Grieg’s beautiful PIANO CONCERTO in A minor.

This months book review is the Hopscotch – by Hilary Fannin.

The meetings will take place on above date from 10.30 am – 12.00.

Dublin Port’s Diving Bell

An illustrated lecture on the Diving Bell will take place at The National Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin on Thursday March 10th 2016 at 19:30 @25.00pp

Joe Ryan, Irish Coast Guard (retired) will present this lecture in support of Ireland’s new tall ship.

We have an exciting Speaker Supper lined up for Thursday 18^th February at which Yvonne Gordon, former NYC member, will give a presentation on her recently launched book “ Journey of Change” in which she follows the all female crew who took part in the 2014/15 Volvo Round the World Race on board their boat Team SCA.

The dramatic stories of the crew, gathered by Yvonne during the race, combined with the engaging images of the onboard reporters Anna-Lena Elled and Corinna Halloran and the exceptional photography of yachting photographer Rick Tomlinson, who is also the book’s photo editor, make this an extraordinary book.

Yvonne will present the members of the National Yacht Club with a  signed copy of the book on the evening.
