Conor Kneafsey 1^st Senior Silver, Daniel Raymond 1^st Junior Silver and Heather Spain 1^st in the Regatta Fleet at the Leinster Optimist Championships. The National YC has done it again, fresh from their success in the Connacht Optimist championships both Conor & Daniel repeated their 1sts with brilliant performances in the Leinster Championships to take the top Silver prizes in their divisions. Heather beat her 2^nd place in Connacht to win this time. Conor & Daniel now move to the Gold Fleet. Sean Donnelly beat his 4^th in Connacht to finish with a 3^rd to add to his 1^ST in the Munsters- well done Sean, but watch out Sean, little sis Dara Donnelly is hot on your heels with a credible 3^rd in the Regatta fleet. We had 6 Senior, 5 Junior & 2 Regatta sailors in total competing across the 3 divisions, with Rachel Guy doing a superb coaching role. Evie Byrne had a 12^th & 15^th in a competive Junior fleet. Her brother Conor is hot on her heels, as well as Oskar Cahill and Tom Shanahan. Amy Lambert, Conor Totterdell, Ross Quirke and Siobhra Sommerville also competed well in the Senior Fleet. Well done to all of you and let’s see what the Ulsters will bring, thanks again to Rachel and all the mums & dads who helped out last weekend.  Go NYC!
