National Yacht Club

 There will be a Fashion Show and Lunch at the National Yacht Club, on Friday 9th April, 2010, in aid of the CBC Monkstown Park Zambia Immersion Project. This project is an initiative by CBC Monkstown where a group of boys from 4th and 5th year go to a community in Zambia to provide assistance in the schools and in the community in general for 3 weeks every year/18 months. The boys help in the schools and clinics and they do a variety of community work, and they bring as much school materials and clothes as they can to give to the families. It is a tough 3 weeks for them, they work hard and they experience first-hand the vivid realities of HIV/AIDS and poverty in Africa. It is a life-altering experience for them.  We would be very grateful for members’ support for this lunch. The ticket price is €40, there will be a glass of bubbly to welcome guests, followed by a four-course lunch. Tony Toner, of the Institute of Advanced Motoring is the Speaker, and Michael Sheridan of RTE is the MC for the fashion Show. A raffle will follow, and if you would like to donate a prize we would be very grateful.
