N.Y.C. End of Season Fun Members’ Race – Thursday 4th September
All members, family and friends are welcome to take part in our End of Season members’ Race taking place on Thursday 4th September from 1830
This is a fun race and we hope to see you all, from dinghies (inc. Moth!) to Flying Fifteens to SB20s and all keelboat classes including non-racers!!
1. The Race is open to all Yachts & Dinghies that are owned or helmed by a member of the NYC
2. The Organising Authority is the NYC and the race will be governed by the “rules” as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RSS).
3. The Due to the departure of a cruise ship from berth #2 at 1800, the start will be given between a RIB and the DBSC “Harbour Mark”. The finish will be within the harbour between the band stand and the end of the Carlisle Pier. Races will be started by using Rule 26 with the warning signal 5 minutes before the start.
4. The course will be shown on a Notice Board in the Hall of the Club prior to the race.
5. Prizes shall be awarded for line honours, class winners and on handicap at the complete discretion of the NYC Sailing Committee. Entry free of charge.
A collection in aid of the RNLI will be made after the race.
