Record number of 5 NYC sailors in Junior Helmsman Championships 2013
Finn Lynch (nominated by the Radial class), Sarah Cooney (Laser 4.7), Nicole Hemeryck (Topper) Loghlen Rickard (Optimist) and Daniel Raymond (Topper) all travelled to Schull last weekend to compete in dense fog for this prestigious Championships which brings together all the best sailors in each class at the end of the season.At some stages during racing in the double handed TR3.6 dinghies you could not see the windward mark or the committee boat so all skills of navigation were called for…
Congratulations to them all for their selection and to especially to Finn Lynch who finished a close second in the Championships.
Lots of fun was had and many old friends reunited in this fiercely competitive but highly sociable event!
