Three National Yacht Club members have been short listed for two prestigious sailing awards whose organisers are asking the public to help decide the winners.
Annalise Murphy and
Finn Lynch have each been nominated for Ireland’s “Afloat Sailor of the Year 2012” for their superb performances in the 2012 London Olympics and ISAF Youth Words respectively – see

Cathy MacAleavey’s beautiful new Shannon One Design (built by herself and Jimmy Furey) has been nominated for Classic Boat Magazine boat of the year (New Build under 40ft). This is indeed a great honour from this widely read magazine – see
