Boathouse completes its RIBs revamp programme
The N.Y.C. boathouse has recently completed its RIBs refurbishment programme when it took back delivery of the Gemini 5.2m (NYC 6), which has been fully retubed, and the donated Caribe 6.0m, which saw a major reconfiguration of its deck (built-in storage removed, internal tank removed, new deck glassed in) and a new console and jockey seat fitted.
The “before” and “after” pictures of the Caribe (now called NYC 9) are quite telling. NYC 9 will be mainly used as a mark laying and “committee boat” RIB.
