The Irish Coast Guard will be conducting a training exercise on Thursday 12th September using ISA SafeTrx and they are seeking your help. During the exercise the Coast Guard will be using SafeTrx to identify and locate vessels mimicking distress.  The ‘distressed’ vessels will all be part of, and under the control of, the Coast Guard and the training exercise. However, if you are out on the water on Thursday the Coast Guard would like your assistance!  All you have to do is to log your trip on SafeTrx, in doing so you will help create a busy summers afternoon so that the rescue co-ordination centres can see what their SafeTrx console looks like when there is a lot of activity on the water.  As usual with SafeTrx, by logging a trip you will not be contacted by the Coast Guard – this request is solely to generate traffic on the app.
