Sean and Tadgh Donnelly making Afloat front page
If you picked up the latest edition of Afloat, you may have recognised two NYC cadets making front page!
Sean (helming) and Tadgh Donnelly qualified for Ireland in the 29er class for the ISAF Youth Worlds 2012 held last July in Dun Laoghaire. The two brothers finished in a very credible 10th place (results here: http://www.isafyouthworlds.com/editions/2012/38871.php) after only starting campaigning this very technical skiff a year ago.
This incredible achievement is all the more remarkable that Sean (Helm) moved straight from the Optimists circuit while Tadgh, a Laser specialist, had little practice on the wire before starting their campaign.
Their eyes are already set for the 2013 edition where they will be a force to be reckoned with having had a few more miles of practice behind them.
