Safety Boat Course – June 12th-13th
The NYC is running a Safety Boat Course (Powerboat Level III) on Saturday and Sunday 12 and 13 June.
Applications, on the form below, should be with the Secretary by 6 pm on Monday 7 June with payment. If you have already booked and paid then your application form is with the club and you need not apply again. If in doubt, please check with the Club Secretary.
The pre-requisites for this course are:
Hold a National Powerboat “Level 2” Certificate
Have suitable experience in handling a powerboat and be able to helm competently
Hold a VHF certificate/licence
Hold a recognised first aid certificate
and
5. Attend and satisfactorily complete this Safety Boat Certificate course
Only 1 & 2 are essential before attending the course. 3 & 4 can be achieved within six months of attending the course but certificates will only be awarded once all requirements are met.
If you do not hold a National Powerboat “Level 2” Certificate but have adequate experience and want to take the Safety Boat course, it may be possible to run a direct assessment, in advance of the 12/13 June.
