Boat Factor Talent Competition

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmailboat_factor_10_02The inaugural Boat Factor Talent Competition took place on Friday 26th March when Skippers and Crew Members cheered on by a large number of the Club’s Golfing Society engaged in a fantastic evening of Music, Song, Recitation and Mime. The winners, announced after a vote taken from all Members and Guests present, were the Ladies from “Mac Lir”, the DBSC Committee Boat, ably led by Ian Meldon (non-lady). They received the NYC “Stars of the Sea” trophy. Aengus Fanning, Editor Sunday Independent, opened the proceedings and gave a rousing rendition of “The Road to Abbeyfeale”. We were then treated to a memorable evening by all participating teams doing their best to win ”The Stars of the Sea” Trophy. The evening finished with a sing song in the Members Bar led by Committee Members Tony Mc Guire and Alan Dooley and, not to be outdone, the Crew of “Paramour” enjoyed a great sing song in the Dining Room. I would like to thank all the Teams that took part, the M.C. for the night, Pat Whelan and everyone that supported this most enjoyable evening. Teams are already booking for next year!!!
